SPECTRUM Client Phylagen Featured on the NBC TODAY Show

New York, NY – Phylagen, a current client of The SPECTRUM Group, demonstrated their rapid COVID-19 detection test on the NBC TODAY Show on July 30^th.

Phylagen’s test enables the detection of COVID-19 on high-touch surfaces within 48 hours.

Dr. Jessica Green, Phylagen co-founder and indoor microbiology expert, notes that the tests can be particularly useful if they are used to regularly swab high-touch areas, such as door handles, faucets, or handrails. A spike in positive hits could enable indoor facilities like schools, businesses, or nursing homes to detect people who are infected with COVID-19 but asymptomatic.

“This type of test could be used in schools, in nursing homes, hotels, restaurants, industrial manufacturing environments, theme parks,” Green said.
